Meet Your Equine Coaches

Each horse has a story, a personality, and a special way of connecting with the people they meet. Get to know the heart, quirks, and unique gifts of each member of our herd.

And still… she’s the first to greet you at feeding time, waiting at the gate like she’s been expecting you all along. On hot Carolina days, you’ll find her in the shade, enjoying a nice fan—fully embracing her queen status.

Chicklet reminds us that strength and softness can live in the same space… and that true connection begins within.

Chicklet

Magic Beans (aka Momma Mare)

Around here, she’s known as Momma Mare… and once you meet her, you’ll understand why.

Chicklet is an 18-year-old AQH mare with a presence that’s impossible to ignore—strong, confident, and independent. Often a bit of a loner, she carries herself with quiet authority… yet beneath that bold exterior is a soft, deeply intuitive soul for the right person.

Chicklet has a gift—she meets you exactly where you are.
What you need—grounding, confidence, patience, connection—she becomes that mirror. But she’ll also let you know (with a little sass) when you’re out of alignment or things aren’t on her terms. She teaches authenticity and presence every time.

She doesn’t respond to force, masks, or pretending. With Cora, authenticity matters. Leadership matters. Congruence matters.
If you show up with ego, control, or uncertainty, she will reflect it right back to you.

But if you slow down… breathe… soften your need to control… and meet her with honesty, she offers something sacred in return: trust.

And trust from a horse like Cora is never freely given. It’s earned quietly — through patience, respect, congruence, and the willingness to listen more than speak.

Behind her fire lives an incredibly tender heart. One that reminds me daily that horses are not here to obey us… they are here to awaken us.

Cora Beans

Gunny’s Magic Corazón (Mi Corazón)

Some horses come into your life to teach you about connection. Others come to teach you about yourself.

Cora is both.

But make no mistake… she will test every boundary you have to make sure you truly know your own.

Cora carries herself with the kind of presence you feel before she even enters the space. Confident. Strong-willed. Playful. Curious. Full of life — and just enough sass to keep everyone honest.

She naturally steps into leadership, whether she’s moving her younger brothers around the pasture, watching over the herd, or quietly walking toward someone who feels unsure of themselves. Cora senses energy almost instantly.

He is not a horse that responds well to pressure, ego, or people trying too hard to “win him over.” Skipper asks something deeper of us — presence, patience, and self-awareness. If your energy is unsettled or you are not aligned within yourself, he will feel it immediately.

And he will let you know.

There is wisdom in horses like Skipper. The kind that teaches boundaries are not rejection… they are sacred communication. He reminds us that authentic connection only happens when both beings feel safe, respected, and free to choose it.

Quiet. Watchful. Independent. Honest.
Skipper doesn’t give his trust away easily… which is exactly what makes it meaningful when he does.

Skipper

Gunny’s Bit Of Magic

Skipper may be Cora’s full brother… but that’s where most of the similarities end.

This young gelding carries a completely different kind of energy — quieter, more reserved, more like his Momma. He’s the lone ranger of the herd, perfectly content in his own space, observing long before deciding whether he wants to let you near him.

And with Skipper… it is always his choice.

At our farm, the horses constantly remind us that connection cannot be forced. Respect must come before trust. And Skipper embodies that lesson fully.

His ears will tell you everything you need to know.
Whether you are welcome… or whether today is a day to honor his space from a distance.

Cisco has grown into one of the gentlest spirits in the herd. Smart, playful, kind-hearted, and deeply loving, he has a way of drawing people in and completely stealing their hearts before they even realize it. Those blue eyes will put you in a trance if you let them — soft, soulful, and full of curiosity.

There’s not a mean bone in this boy’s body…unless you try to steal his food. Then all bets are off.

Cisco carries such a pure energy about him — the kind that reminds you healing, resilience, and sweetness can still exist after a hard beginning. He’s proof that sometimes the unexpected blessings become the ones your heart holds onto the tightest.

Cisco

Gunnys Shootin Star

Some horses arrive exactly as planned…
and some feel like they were quietly sent for a reason.

Cisco was our surprise colt — born from a companion mare who was never supposed to be pregnant. And from the very beginning, this sweet boy reminded us that life doesn’t always unfold according to plans… sometimes it unfolds according to something greater.

His first few weeks in this world were rough as a dummy foal, and there were moments that tested all of us. But somewhere inside that tiny colt with those unforgettable blue eyes was a strong and beautiful soul determined to find his way.

And he did.

With the right connection, he becomes a steady rock beneath you… calm, anchoring, deeply present. But if your energy is scattered or uncertain, he’ll mirror that too. That’s his gift.

He reminds us that horses don’t ask us to be perfect. Only real.

And when you are… he meets you there.

Tater

Tater Tot

Our newest addition to the herd… but somehow it feels like he’s always belonged here.

Tator Tot is senior sorrel gelding with the spirit of a stallion and the soul of an old guardian. Around here, he’s known as Momma Mare’s devoted protector — always watching, always aware, always the first to notice when something feels “off” in the herd or in the energy around him.

And those eyes…
They tell the whole story.

There’s a quiet intensity in him that asks you to show up honestly. No masks. No pretending. Tator Tot doesn’t respond to words nearly as much as he responds to energy. He teaches that true grounding comes from congruence — when your heart, mind, and presence are all speaking the same language.
